7 World Tour Teams Ride Fizik In 2017

Fi'zi:k have announced they will be sponsoring 7 World Tour Teams in 2017.

Movistar Team

Spanish Movistar Team, UCI ranked 1 in 2016, will continue with fi'zi:k saddles on their Canyons. Thanks to almost 150 victories, and 1.5 million kilometres raced in five campaigns, Movistar Team has maintained the status it has held since its foundation in 1980 as the team to beat in the international peloton. The 2016 season saw Nairo Quintana stand on top of the final podium of La Vuelta a España.

Team Sky

UCI ranked 3 UK-based Team Sky will continue running fi'zi:k saddles on their Pinarellos. Team Sky has competed in the UCI World Tour since 2010 with great success, not least in the Grand Tours. In 2013, 2015 and 2016 Chris Froome stood on top step of the podium of the Tour de France.

Cannondale-Drapac (UCI ranked 8) will also use fi'zi:k bar:tape along with their fi'zi:k saddles. Although Cannondale-Drapac may be the youngest WorldTour team, with an average age of 26, its riders have scored enviable results over the team's ten-year history. Most notably, winning stages at every Grand Tour, Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Adriatico, the overall classification at the Giro d'Italia, Criterium du Dauphiné, Tour of Missouri, the Tour of Utah, the USA Pro Challenge, Tour of Alberta and three monuments - Paris-Roubaix, Liège-Bastogne-Liège and Il Lombardia.

FDJ

From France there's FDJ (winner of the 2016 Milan-San Remo with Arnaud Démare) running fi'zi:k saddles on their Lapierres. Founded in 1997, the UCI WorldTour cycling team gained its pro-tour licence in 2012 and is predominantly composed of French riders. Since its inception the team has won 22 Grand Tour stages and in 2014 FDJ won the red jersey at the Giro d'Italia with Nacer Bouhanni, winner of three stages and leader of the points classification. A prestigious result came at the 2014 Tour de France, with third place overall for the French rider Thibaut Pinot.

AG2R La Mondiale, who equip their Factors with matching fi'zi:k saddles and bar:tape, is a French cycling team with UCI ProTour status since 2006. The team is historically linked with the Tour de France, having participated 21 times since 1993.

Rounding out the 2017 top flight is the first African WorldTour team, Dimension Data, winner of five stages at the 2016 TdF with Mark Cavendish and Steve Cummings, sitting pretty with fi'zi:k saddles on their Cervélos. Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka was founded in 2007, steadily working its way up from a regional team to now being a WorldTour team with bases in South Africa and Italy. It's also known as Africa's Team due to its focus on helping African talent to the world stage of cycling. The team races to raise funds for the Qhubeka Charity to mobilise people on bicycles in Africa.
