Extra UK secures CLIF Bar distribution

Extra UK delighted to announce distribution of well-respected CLIF Bar brand.

Extra UK, distributor of world leading cycle brands, is proud to announce UK exclusive distribution of the CLIF® Bar brandfor the cycling, running, outdoors and sporting stores markets. 

CLIF Bar is well known and loved for its sustainable approach to sports nutrition: producing nutritious food with the simple desire to give athletes and enthusiasts alike something they actually want to eat whilst also satisfying their nutritional needs more sustainably.

John Phillips, Extra UK’s Sales Director, said: 

“We’re delighted to have the opportunity to distribute such a well-respected brand as CLIF Bar that is really in keeping with our portfolio of great brands we have at Extra. We consider CLIF products to be the best of their kind,  and this makes us really excited to be involved with the brand.” 

Distribution rights will begin immediately with stock expected to start shipping to suppliers in the Autumn.

CLIF® Bar ethos

Clif Bar & Company was born out of a simple desire to make a better energy bar. Back in 1990, the company’s founder Gary Erickson was on a 175 mile bike ride and found himself unable to endure one more bite of another so-called ‘energy bar.’ He decided that he “could make a better-tasting bar.” After two years in the making, the CLIF Bar energy bar was born.
